Summary The Maintenance Supervisor must have extensive knowledge of the building trades they supervise. These trades include but are not limited to Industrial Equipment Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Locksmith, Machinist, and Pipefitter. The incumbent must have the ability to work from sketches and blueprints; and have extensive knowledge of various codes, standards, and regulations that pertain to the trades under their supervision. Responsibilities Duties of the Maintenance Supervisor include but are not limited to: Incumbent assigns work to the unit work force daily. Prepares irregular tours and other schedules and submits them in advance to the Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain a balanced work load between the subordinate work groups, making adjustments in the work load as necessary. Incumbent shall assist in writing accident reports, incentive awards, suggestion and/or work simplification. Generates and signs subsidiary time and attendance sheets and checks accuracy and signs employee activity sheets. Incumbent is responsible for providing updated data on all work orders, repaired data including time, parts, materials and cost of items used. Must have the ability to work from sketches and blueprints. Incumbent is responsible for maintaining stock levels of all supplies needed for operation, repair and upkeep of all items assigned to activations team. Must have extensive knowledge of various codes, standards and regulations that pertain to trades assigned to Activation team. Requires physical efforts in walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling moderately heavy loads. Assists in schedules and determines the preventive maintenance necessary for all equipment This position requires a state drivers license, as there is travel between job sites. Must have working knowledge of Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting and Electrical trades.
