Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will operate large, complex riding lawn mowers and similar @types of specialized mowing equipment. You will determine and select the most appropriate @type of equipment to accomplish each phase of the work in the most productive and cost-effective manner. You will complete all aspects of special assignments involving several steps, phases, or detailed procedures. You will operate various controls and levers to maneuver equipment and lift, lower, adjust, engage, and disengage components or attached devices when working around trees, trenches, large potholes, slopes, curbs, rocks, and other visible obstacles. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one of the following: 1. Have received commendations for good work on the job, in school, in Armed Forces, in Job Corps, etc. 2. In the last 5 years, have not left a job due to own actions, only due to "end of work" or "project completion." 3. Have received better than average school grades or job appraisals. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may or may not be authorized to eligible selectees. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
