Kane County is now hiring the position of Kanab Center/Events Administrative Assistant. Position is part time with no benefits. Up to 29 hours per week. Position is located in Kanab, UT. Position performs a variety of duties related to assisting the Kanab Center Coordinator in overseeing day to day operations, as well as planning and booking local special events, conferences, conventions, expos, etc. for the Kanab Center. Assists in ensuring daily operation tasks are accomplished by staff including cleaning, repairs, supplies and functionality of all equipment assigned to the Kanab Center & event operations. Assists with promoting tourism within Kane County. Promotes leisure and business travel in Kane County, assists in increasing motel room occupancy and 'stay time'. Promotes expanding tourism in the off-season, by coordinating, creating and promoting activities and events at the Kanab Center in conjunction with the Events Team and Marketing Team. Assists in the daily operations of the Tourism Office as needed. Helps develop and utilize visual aids; makes and prepares oral and written presentations to staff and other organizations, groups, associations or general audiences. Assists in the development of print, web, video and other materials to promote Tourism in the area. May be required to work weekends and holidays as needed. Works under the supervision of the Kane County Tourism Director and under direct supervision of the Kanab Center Coordinator. Must have a valid Driver License. Must be a high school graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The official Kane County Application must be submitted.
