Insight Global is partnering with a large local utility as they grow their Electric Engineering organization to support the surge in electricity demand, driven by AI-focused data centers, rapid electric vehicle (EV) adoption, and massive grid modernization efforts.

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Electric Transmission where this leader will oversee electrical engineering teams responsible for transmission line infrastructure across a large territory. The ideal candidate has a hands on background in electrical engineering with strong utility experience who thrives in leading people, challenging legacy processes, and driving execution. This role requires a confident, direct communicator who can operate in front of senior leadership, influence stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and reliably in a fast paced, operational environment.

Day to Day:

Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers supporting T Line South

Oversee execution of transmission and utility infrastructure projects

Ensure electrical designs and solutions meet safety, reliability, and regulatory standards

Challenge existing processes to drive efficiency and modernization

Act as a strong technical and people leader; hands on when needed

Communicate clearly and confidently with senior leadership, including VPs

Partner cross functionally to align engineering, construction, and operations

Respond to emergency events impacting transmission systems as required

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Strong background in the utility industry or utility industry adjacent

Experience with transmission lines (T Line) and large scale infrastructure

Solid understanding of electrical components and systems

Proven people management experience leading teams of engineers

Confident, direct communicator; comfortable presenting to and engaging with VP level leadership

Strong understanding of how utility projects are executed end to end

Willingness to be on call for emergencies, including weekends if needed - Advanced degree in Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Experience leading geographically distributed teams

Familiarity working in regulated utility environments
