Job Title: Industrial Assembler
Job Description
The Industrial Assembler will assemble, install, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment in a fast-paced fabrication environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality production by performing precise assembly work, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting while consistently following safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Assemble and install industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints to determine assembly requirements and sequence of operations.
Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble metal structures, components, and subassemblies.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure safe and optimal performance.
Inspect and test assembled products and equipment to verify proper function and adherence to quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and basic electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Operate fabrication equipment, including welding machines and other shop machinery, as needed to complete assemblies.
Measure and verify components using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy and fit.
Work on an assembly line or production floor to meet daily and project-based output targets.
Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and lockout/tagout practices to maintain a safe work environment.
Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
Perform general labor tasks related to assembly, production support, and material handling as required.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in industrial or mechanical assembly within a production or fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and basic electrical schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience assembling machinery and equipment.
Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Experience with machine operation in a light industrial or fabrication setting.
Ability to perform basic wiring and electrical assembly tasks as required.
Competence using measuring tools such as tape measures to ensure accurate assembly.
Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards and specifications.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving mechanical issues.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and technical documentation.
Reliability and consistency in attendance, productivity, and safety practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in an industrial fabrication shop or similar industrial setting.
Background in both mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
Familiarity with welding machines and other fabrication equipment.
Comfort working on an assembly line and in general labor roles as needed.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and assembly techniques.

Work Environment
This position is based in an industrial fabrication shop with a fast-paced, production-oriented atmosphere. You will work around industrial machinery, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools, regularly using hand and power tools, tape measures, and assembly line equipment. The role involves standing for extended periods, handling metal components, and working in an environment with typical industrial noise and activity. Safety practices and protective equipment are an integral part of daily work, and the workspace is maintained to be clean, organized, and compliant with all safety guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philomath, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
