Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Director of Finance Industry Consulting for our newly formed Advisory Business Line. We are looking for an individual with a mix of strategic vision, industry expertise, leadership skills and business development acumen. In this role, the individual will support the Regional Advisory leadership in growing the business, setting strategy and developing major client accounts. This a hybrid role, with in-office requirements located in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this newly created role is to be a strategy leader and a business builder for Finance Industry advisory services nationally with a primary focus on the East Coast of the United States and supporting role for Latin American investments.
This team leader will need to have a big-picture growth mindset coupled with analytical skills, and experience with Finance Industry clients.
In partnership with Regional Business Line Leadership and the Global Business Line, develop and execute the strategic growth plan for Financial Industry services, including the development and execution of client outreach goals, and internal delivery enhancement goals.
Advocate excellence in client proposals and delivery, assuring that AECOM is building client relationships throughout the entire client engagement cycle
Strategically co-create projects through client engagement and pre-position AECOM for winning and delivering the most important projects that come to market
Work in collaboration with all AECOM business lines to align operations and allocate resources according to strategic priorities in a highly matrixed environment
Ensure appropriate talent is in place to develop, lead and successfully execute on AECOM's advisory growth strategy
Champion change by supporting AECOM's vision, creating buy-in to the vision and by linking the core business to the attainment of the vision
Develop repeatable frameworks to respond to enterprise level client challenges in Finance Industry consulting, including banks, fintech companies, insurers, asset managers, and regulatory bodies
Work collaboratively with Client Account Managers (CAMs), and Business Line Leadership to grow profitable backlog.
Prepare and deliver presentations and communications to share exemplar projects and programs.
Lead client engagement efforts to understand client needs, obtain feedback, and refine business objectives
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
BS/BA (advanced degree strongly preferred) +15 years of progressive experience in strategic, financial, or management consulting and/or related industry experience with a strong focus on the financial services sector (banking, infrastructure finance, insurance, asset management, or capital markets) or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 6+ years of leadership
Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation projects, strategic planning, and operational improvement initiatives for financial institutions
Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial performance optimization
Experience building teams from the ground up
· Technical & Functional Expertise :
Deep understanding of financial industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies (e.g., digital banking, fintech, AI in finance)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making
· Leadership & Communication :
Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage executive-level relationships.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and driving cross-functional collaboration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences

Ability to travel as needed for client engagements
Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, PMP, or equivalent are a plus

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $300,000.00 - $400,000.00.
