As a Security Officer State Licensed Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activities with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.

Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting observations through proper channels.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.

Support day-to-day operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with incident response, and maintaining a visible presence throughout varying environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
