Job Title: Warehouse Receiving Associate - 1st Shift
Job Description
This role is responsible for accurately and safely unloading, receiving, labeling, and storing incoming products in a busy warehouse environment. You will handle physical product, verify shipments, use radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment, and ensure items are placed in the correct storage locations to support efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Physically unload product from trailers into the warehouse using hands and proper lifting techniques.
Verify the quantity and description of products received by checking merchandise against receiving labels and documentation.
Inspect incoming shipments for damage, reject damaged items when appropriate, and promptly report and record damages through established channels.
Attach identifying labels and tags to products to ensure accurate tracking and storage.
Safely load product onto a stock picker and operate the stock picker to transport items to designated storage rack locations in the warehouse.
Accurately place products in assigned warehouse storage locations, following layout and slotting guidelines.
Scan product labels and rack location labels using RF inventory control equipment such as bar-coding devices and handheld scanners to update the company's computer system.
Distribute supplies and non-warehouse products to the appropriate departments or personnel as needed.
Follow all safety procedures while working at heights of up to approximately 35 feet for top-level product placement.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth receiving and stocking operations.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or labor-intensive role.
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds as part of regular job duties.
Capability to lift and move objects up to 110 pounds unassisted and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
Comfort working at heights of approximately 35 feet for product placement in upper rack levels.
Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, grip, lift, pull, push, and reach above shoulder level throughout the work shift.
Ability to use hands regularly to finger, handle, or feel objects and to reach with hands and arms.
Strong attention to detail when verifying product quantities, descriptions, and labels.
Basic familiarity with or ability to learn RF inventory control equipment such as bar-code scanners and handheld devices.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to talk and hear clearly in a warehouse environment.
Adequate vision for close work, distance viewing, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a high-volume warehouse receiving or stocking role is a plus.
Comfort working in a casual, fast-paced warehouse setting.
Ability to follow established procedures for documenting and reporting damaged goods.
Willingness to learn warehouse computer systems and inventory processes.
Team-oriented mindset with reliability and a strong work ethic.
Bilingual abilities are beneficial in a warehouse where a significant portion of staff is bilingual.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse environment where you will be on your feet for most of the shift. The role involves continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching above shoulder level. You will regularly use your hands to handle and feel products and equipment, and you must be comfortable working at heights of approximately 35 feet for top-level product placement. The job requires lifting and moving objects up to 110 pounds unassisted and up to 150 pounds with assistance. You will work in typical warehouse temperatures and use RF inventory control equipment such as bar-code scanners and handheld devices, along with stock pickers for moving product to rack locations. The dress code is casual, but you must wear boots while on the warehouse floor for safety. The team environment is diverse, with a significant portion of the warehouse staff being bilingual, fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
