Summary You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD), Code 574400 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Responsibilities You will act as a senior technician within the TEWD of NRL. You will design, fabricate, text, evaluate, and maintain electrical and mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems associated with the RF systems that are used, developed and tested by Code 5740. You will participate in laboratory and field testing both at local and remote field sites. You will provide consultation to other technical personnel in the areas of mechanical and electrical fabrication. You will provide support to RF system improvement and upgrade projects. You will assist with the troubleshooting and repair of RF, analog and digital circuits used throughout the facility. You will operate laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse and function generators, RF synthesizers, RF power meters and spectrum analyzers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS- 9/10) or pay band (NR-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Operating, repairing, installing and inspecting military electronics and radar systems; and 2) Organizing and leading a technical aspect of military radar or electronic warfare testing.
