Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Punta Gorda, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting. This position requires a strong background in accounting and familiarity with tools like QuickBooks and SAP.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Manage the general ledger and oversee its accuracy and completeness.

Handle accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing and payment reconciliation.

Generate and interpret financial reports using QuickBooks and other accounting tools.

Support month-end close activities by performing detailed analysis and reconciliations.

Review and process accounts payable (AP) transactions to maintain timely payments.

Assist with compliance requirements related to military contracts and ensure adherence to regulations.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit and internal review purposes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting with a focus on journal entries and general ledger management.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and SAP software.

Strong understanding of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.

Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. due to contractual requirements.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
