Description We are seeking experienced candidates for the Sales Manager position for The Albany Auto Group , located in Latham , NY. The Sales Manager will have a commitment to customer service at the highest level. They will lead a sales team and are responsible for selecting, training, coaching, developing and retaining the very best Sales Consultants! The Sales Manager will drive a high-level of performance among the sales team to increase market share, achieve targeted unit sales and profit margins. We offer a generous pay plan, and competitive benefits package! Earning potential $150,000 per year and up! RESPONSIBILITIES: -Leading yourself and the team in a way that supports the company goals -Ability to effectively manage all areas of used car department, including but not limited to wholesale, retail, purchasing and marketing. -Ability to forecast goals and objectives for pre-owned vehicle sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis. -Possess strong closing abilities -Understands and keeps abreast of federal, state, and local regulations. -Ability to handle and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally. -Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and best-practice processes -Managing the negotiation process with Sales Consultants to ensure that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing -Partnering with the New Car Sales Manager, Finance Managers, and/or the General Sales Manager to motivate the sales staff -Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance -Other various duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: -Proven success in auto retail sales -Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others -Ability to set and achieve targeted goals -Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills -Organization and follow-up skills -Experience and desire to work with technology -Valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record Benefits available: -Medical Insurance -Dental -Vision -401 (K ) -Life Insurance -LTD -Paid Vacation and Sick time
