Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This role maintains accurate inventory records, ensures items are stored safely and accessibly, and supports smooth warehouse operations through careful handling, inspection, and documentation of stock.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and accurately record data manually or using a computer system.
Count and reconcile stock items, comparing physical counts to inventory records and investigating discrepancies or correcting errors as needed.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves or in designated locations within stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Store items in an orderly, clearly labeled, and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other storage areas.
Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure proper tracking and identification.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to support a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
Keep accurate records of stock usage, stock levels, and any damage to stock or stock handling equipment.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage, and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support team productivity and accuracy.
Follow established policies, procedures, and safety strategies to protect people, property, data, and equipment within the facility.
Essential Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document inventory and interact with team members.
Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve stock issues.
Proven ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Knowledge of relevant warehouse equipment and tools used for receiving, storing, and handling materials.
Prior warehouse experience with pick, pack, and load activities, with 2-4 years of experience required.
Knowledge and practical use of RF scanners for inventory tracking and stock management.
Understanding of policies, procedures, and strategies that support secure and compliant warehouse operations.
High school diploma or GED.
2-4 years of related experience, with previous experience as a Material Handler considered relevant.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
Comfort working with computerized inventory systems and manual recordkeeping.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas.
Capability to follow safety procedures and contribute to a secure work environment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse or storage yard environment with work centered around stockrooms, tool rooms, and supply rooms. You work primarily on-site, handling materials, operating basic warehouse equipment, and using RF scanners and computer systems to manage inventory. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or until daily tasks are complete, providing predictable daytime hours. The work involves standing, walking, and moving materials throughout the shift, as well as maintaining clean, organized, and safe storage areas in line with established safety regulations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
