Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsTax Analyst I:Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorand#8217;s degree.ExperienceTwo years in a position which required expert tax knowledge such as a Senior Accounts Examiner, Team Lead, Tax Trainer, tax auditor, or two years in a position with similar duties that required the candidate to draft documents for public dissemination, or three yearsand#8217; experience as a trainer, presenting to groups with the use of training aids such as PowerPoint. Similar duties include reviewing legislative proposals, drafting, or amending administrative rules, and/or drafting complex legal inquiries, responses, or memos.Preferred ExperienceOne year experience specifically in Texas indirect taxes (sales and use tax, motor vehicle tax, etc.) or direct taxes (franchise, insurance, etc.) or experience drafting administrative rules at the local, state, or federal level.Tax Analyst II:Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorand#8217;s degree.ExperienceThree years exceeding the job duties as a Tax Analyst I; two years as a Tax Accountant with a CPA certification; or three years in a position with similar duties that required the candidate to draft documents for public dissemination. Experience reviewing and editing the work product of others.Preferred Experience:Four years experience specifically in Texas indirect taxes (sales and use tax, motor vehicle tax, etc.) or direct taxes (franchise, insurance, etc.) or experience drafting administrative rules at the local, state, or federal level.Licenses and CertificationsFor Tax Attorney I-IV, State Bar of
