This Live Well at Home Supervisor is responsible forstaff supervision, and administration of areas within the Aging and Adult Services Division/Minnesota Board on Aging's statewide network of services for older Minnesotans and family, friends and neighbors caregiving and for the Division's service and development grants. The position is policy and program expert on home and community-based service development for all older Minnesotans, most specifically those categorically eligible and those who are soon to be eligible for publicly funded programs. Responsibilities include:
Supervise the Live Well at Home Development team of the Resource Development Unit
Manage and administer key areas within the Division relating to the statewide aging network of services for the Division's efforts to expand and develop in-home service alternatives through its planning, development and grants operations
Through Live Well at Home, Core Home and Community- based programs, Senior Volunteer Programs and relevant Older Americans Act programs provide initiatives that meet the service needs of diverse and target populations, including those who are of limited English language proficiency, culturally competent and serves the needs of target populations
Manage programs and initiatives to comply with the evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency to AASD and the Minnesota Board on Aging, as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership experience
Leadership experience can include:
Experience as a supervisor, leadworker, team lead, project lead;
Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);
A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:
1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions
100+ hours per year time commitment
AND
4 years of specialized professional work experience in aging services including knowledge of housing, transportation, health care and electronic sensing/reporting technology. Experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience drafting Requests for Proposals (RFP) and negotiating State contracts
Experience in program development, including methods and issues
Experience and knowledge operating a state agency under the Older Americans Act
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Public Administration, Grants/Contract Management, Gerontology, or a related
Negotiation and mediation skills among local and state partners
Experience managing a large portfolio of grants and contracts
Experience writing position descriptions, assessing applicants for their qualifications and hiring; evaluating employees on their job duties, instructing employees on their performance and approving or requesting changes in a work product
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
