Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a fully onsite team in a long-term contract position. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting day-to-day accounting operations, working with invoices and payment records, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. The role offers consistent hours and the chance to contribute across both payable and receivable activities in a collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage vendor payment activities by preparing and processing disbursements in a timely and accurate manner.

Examine invoices, statements, and related financial documents to confirm completeness and correctness before payment or posting.

Coordinate remittance preparation and ensure vendor invoices are entered and tracked properly.

Communicate with vendors to answer questions, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive working relationships.

Create, update, and organize vendor account records to support accurate accounting documentation.

Reconcile billed amounts against supporting records and investigate differences to achieve proper resolution.

Provide support for billing functions, including invoice-related data entry and follow-up tasks.

Handle routine administrative duties such as scanning, filing, and maintaining organized financial records.

Assist with other accounting and office responsibilities as needed to support the team.

Requirements - Experience working in accounting support with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or both.

Proficiency in invoice processing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks and solid Microsoft Excel skills.

Ability to review transactions carefully, identify inconsistencies, and resolve issues efficiently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal team members.

Reliable organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fully onsite environment.
