Construction Laborer
Job Description
The Construction Laborer supports the construction and refurbishment of trailer offices by performing a wide range of hands-on tasks, including basic carpentry, drywall, painting, cleaning, and general yard work. This role involves frequent use of hand and power tools, working outdoors, and handling physically demanding activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds. The position offers the opportunity to learn new construction skills, work closely with a small team, and contribute to safe and efficient project completion.
Responsibilities
Assist with the construction, refurbishment, and general maintenance of trailer offices.
Hang drywall, paint interior and exterior surfaces, and perform basic carpentry tasks as directed.
Carry out yard work, including general cleanup, landscaping-related tasks, and power washing.
Clean and prepare trailers after they are returned from job sites, ensuring they are ready for the next use.
Safely operate basic hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and other construction tools.
Use measuring tools, such as tape measures, to support accurate cutting, assembly, and installation.
Perform general production, assembly, packaging, and cleanup tasks as needed to support operations.
Support concrete, remodeling, and drywall-related activities under the guidance of more experienced team members.
Complete the Field Level Hazard form daily, accurately documenting tasks and potential risks.
Follow all safety procedures and standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety awareness throughout the workday.
Respond positively to direction from supervisors and experienced team members and follow instructions carefully.
Work effectively within a small team environment to complete projects on time and to quality standards.
Lift, carry, bend, twist, and stand on your feet throughout the shift to complete assigned tasks.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Essential Skills
Previous experience using hand tools and power tools in a work or project setting.
Some construction experience, even if not extensive, including familiarity with basic construction tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, twisting, and standing for the entire shift.
Strong safety mindfulness and consistent adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.
Comfort working in a dirty, hot, wet, outdoor environment that is not temperature controlled.
Willingness to follow safety standards and accept ongoing direction and feedback from others.
Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, or similar equipment.
Prior experience in an organized, procedural, or corporate work environment that emphasizes safety awareness.
Positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to follow directions accurately.
Ability to work well in a structured corporate setting with established processes and expectations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous construction experience, including work on job sites or building projects.
Experience with drywall installation and finishing.
Basic carpentry experience, including framing, repairs, or light construction tasks.
Experience with epoxy floors, remodeling, or apartment unit repair.
Experience operating a forklift or other heavy equipment.
Experience using man lifts or similar elevated work platforms.
Familiarity with concrete work, assembly, packaging, and general clean-up in an industrial or construction setting.
Experience with painting and remodeling projects in residential or commercial environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
