Job Title: Construction Laborer (General Contracting Team)
Job Description
This role supports day-to-day operations on an active construction site by performing a wide range of general labor tasks. The construction laborer helps set up and maintain site facilities, assists with material handling and light construction activities, and ensures work areas remain clean, safe, and organized in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Set up and maintain trailer alleys, including assembling furniture and keeping all trailers clean and orderly at all times.
Assist with moving materials throughout the site, including tools, boxes, wood boards, and other construction items as needed.
Support the construction of decking around trailer alleys and other temporary structures on site.
Assist with the construction of temporary resting areas on the job site.
Perform general site cleanup, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping, particularly during snowy or wet conditions.
Handle general civil construction and dirt work tasks as directed by site leadership.
Support outdoor construction activities, including tasks related to solar and landscaping work when required.
Safely operate hand tools and follow site safety guidelines while performing all duties.
Drive company trucks onsite as needed to transport materials and equipment, following all traffic and safety regulations.
Essential Skills
Experience performing general labor duties on construction sites or in a similar physical work environment.
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and kneel for extended periods while performing manual tasks.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more to at or near head level safely and repeatedly.
Ability to carry materials such as tools, boxes, and wood boards across the site.
Comfort working in civil construction, dirt work, and general outdoor construction settings.
Capability to work safely with hand tools and basic construction equipment.
Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, as the role involves driving company trucks onsite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general construction, including experience on large, open construction sites.
Familiarity with solar-related construction work and outdoor project environments.
Experience in landscaping or similar outdoor labor-intensive work.
Exposure to GPS blade or CAT equipment environments, even if not operating the machinery directly.
Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to take direction and support various site tasks as needs change.

Work Environment
This position is based on an open construction site with both indoor and outdoor work. You work in varying weather conditions, including mud, wet surfaces, and cold temperatures in the winter, as well as hot conditions in the summer. The role involves frequent physical activity, such as lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling. You will use hand tools and handle construction materials regularly, and you may work near civil construction equipment and solar or landscaping operations. The schedule typically runs Monday through Saturday, with overtime opportunities available. Appropriate workwear suitable for an active construction environment and changing weather conditions is expected.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
