Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) - Grocery Distribution Center (GDC) team is looking for a Sr. Manager, Program Management to support scalable operational functions on our journey to become our customers most loved grocer. They will deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level specifically focused on our end to end execution and quality for Grocery Distribution Centers.
As the Sr. Manager, Program Management, you will be responsible for delivering and improving a GDC roadmap that significantly enhances service quality to Grocery Fulfillment Centers while reducing operational costs. You will achieve this by scaling a program that identifies and executes improvements, and by influencing partner teams to deliver them. This role requires a balance of analytical skills, communication, and development to support corporate and field stakeholders in meeting business needs. You will be a self-starter, skilled in driving actionable insights and clarity in a dynamic customer experience landscape.
The ideal candidate will think holistically about the optimal processes needed to support Amazon Grocery growth and provide recommendations on process improvements. You will drive business improvements by identifying short- and long-term solutions, streamlining actions for customers, and using data to identify business opportunities. In this role, you will help develop roadmaps and plans with partner teams to drive organization-wide goals.
The successful candidate will take a user-centric approach when solving process challenges, demonstrating both a strong business sense and a solid understanding of the technical landscape. You must thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment. High judgment, the ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communication skills, and leadership are essential to success in this role. This position will support multiple regions and time zones.
Key job responsibilities
Oversee the overall program execution, strategically driving teams within and outside your organization to deliver on goals.
Help define the program's mission, vision, and guiding principles, then set objectives, analyze data, and drive quantifiable improvements.
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions.
Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources.
Partner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine project priorities and next steps.
Solve complex problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
Communicate and impact critical business initiatives by working closely with program managers, business leaders, and the executive team.
Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility into milestones and performance across all projects.
Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers.
Demonstrate a "general manager/owner" mentality, rolling up your sleeves to ensure the success of the program.
Create, communicate, and manage budget for projects.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of team management experience
5+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation or equivalent professional or military experience
Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience with data mining and data analysis
Experience with Excel, including use of complex formulas and pivot tables to manipulate large datasets and interpret results
Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)
Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience with end-to-end project management
Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
