DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Facility Operations Manager 4, you will direct the maintenance and operational systems for the Youth Development Center and Youth Forestry Camp facilities across the eastern region. Your primary responsibility will involve managing all core physical plant functions, including utilities, boiler plants, groundskeeping, and water treatment facilities. You will ensure all operations remain in strict compliance with regulations established by the Departments of Environmental Protection, Human Services, General Services, and Labor and Industry. In addition, you will manage the BJJS space management program and regional vehicle fleet, ensuring maximum efficiency, accountability, and safety. By strategically allocating fiscal, material, and manpower resources, you will coordinate preventive and emergency maintenance for all regional buildings and essential systems, including telecommunications and steam heating. Your leadership will ensure a safe, healthy environment while maintaining fiscal responsibility and adherence to all state policies and safety standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
Frequent travel is required.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $77,379.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Facility Operations Manager 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Seven years of experience performing skilled trades work in commercial or industrial buildings which includes five years supervising skilled trades work in commercial or industrial buildings, or utility plant operations.
Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
