Job Title: 1st Shift Maintenance Technician II

Location: Oneida, NY

Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Pay: $24-$30+ per hour, based on experience

Benefits: Full benefits package

Job Summary:

Responsible for advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support efficient daily operations. This role requires a highly skilled and dependable individual with extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge, capable of working independently, diagnosing complex issues, and implementing effective solutions. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, clean, and high-performing work environment. This position also serves as a backup to the Maintenance Mechanic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facility systems

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues

Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to schedules

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of equipment

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Capable of handling physically demanding work and lifting as required

High school diploma or GED required

5+ years of general maintenance/building experience

1+ year manufacturing experience, strong mechanical background

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to see, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers

Walk, sit, stand, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds

Use of power equipment and hand tools

Work in proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, or potential exposure to chemicals

Exposure to allergens and particulates
