FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer Technician supports the manufacturing processes and systems documentation through the Manufacturing Engineering Team. Confers with the production, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering departments to evaluate, document, and improve scheduling, work instruction, part system set ups and production processes including NPD projects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Keep production running by addressing robot crashes & program issues.

Creates and maintains routing travelers and Bill of Materials including standard times.

Program and touch up robots.

Utilizes lean manufacturing: flow, design, Kanban, 5S, etc. to make improvements.

Assists in Shop Floor improvement projects lead by Manufacturing Engineering team when requested.

Documents and edits work Instructions based on guidance by Process Owner.

Quality Systems work with quality team on quality standards.

Works with the Manufacturing Engineering department to update syteline structure of parts.

Develops and maintains factory layouts and works with operations team to suggest and implement. improvements to layout to reduce waste.

Develop dashboards and analytics to track results.

Assists in documentation and system set up of NPD Projects

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to implement improvements.

Works as a self-starter with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and achieve results.

Strong computer and analytical skills including ERP systems, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and project management software.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Ability to understand and align work with company strategy and vision

Ability to read and comprehend documents including product drawings, safety rules and procedures, work instructions and production routers.

Strong personal management skills.

Ability to work several projects simultaneously with high flexibility and positive attitude towards multiple demands and shifting priorities

Ability to understand part drawings and how to implement changes to improve manufacturability.

Skilled in using MS Office

Understands basic fabrication and machining process, laser, brake, cutting machine.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Robotic programming experience.

Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve results.

PLC Programming is a plus.

Experience operating in high mix, low volume production environments.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged periods of standing during training and presentations.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.

Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
