Actalent is hiring a Medical Assistant for a top plastic surgeons office in Long Island!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team, providing essential clinical and administrative support in a dynamic medical setting. The role involves preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative care, ensuring a seamless experience for patients undergoing various procedures.

Responsibilities

Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical trays for procedures.

Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.

Take vital signs and collect medical histories.

Assist the surgeon during procedures like facelifts, rhinoplasties, and eyelid surgeries.

Maintain a sterile field and hand instruments during surgeries.

Monitor patient comfort and safety during minor procedures.

Monitor patients in recovery post-surgery.

Educate patients on aftercare instructions and medication usage.

Essential Skills

Medical assisting

Patient care

Customer service

Experience working in a plastic surgery or dermatology office

1-2 years of relevant experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbury, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
