Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
This role supports large, complex commercial construction projects, including data centers, student housing high-rises, hotels, mixed-use urban developments, and commercial or industrial facilities. You will contribute to the successful delivery of new-build projects by performing a wide range of hands-on tasks on active construction sites.
Responsibilities
Perform general construction labor on large, ground-up commercial projects, including data centers, student housing high-rises, hotels, mixed-use urban developments, and commercial or industrial facilities.
Support concrete work by assisting with site preparation, moving materials, and helping with basic concrete-related tasks as directed.
Use hand tools and basic mechanical tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
Assist with site cleaning and housekeeping, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Support production activities by moving materials, staging equipment, and assisting skilled trades as needed.
Perform basic landscaping and exterior site clean-up tasks as required during different phases of construction.
Assist with basic electrical-related tasks as directed by qualified personnel, such as material handling and site preparation.
Operate a forklift when authorized and trained, including loading, unloading, and moving materials safely around the job site.
Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.
Work collaboratively with the construction team to meet project schedules and quality standards.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and remain productive throughout the workday, adapting to changing job site needs.
Essential Skills
2-3 years of solid construction trades experience in the field on new-build construction projects.
Hands-on experience performing general construction labor on active job sites.
Ability to safely use common hand tools and basic mechanical tools.
Experience working on large or complex commercial construction projects.
Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
Reliability in following instructions, adhering to safety protocols, and completing assigned tasks.
Basic familiarity with concrete, production, cleaning, electrical support, forklift support, and landscaping tasks on construction sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting concrete work on commercial construction projects.
Experience assisting with basic electrical tasks under direction of qualified personnel.
Prior experience operating a forklift on construction or industrial sites.
History in landscaping or exterior site clean-up on construction projects.
Comfort working on large, complex commercial builds such as data centers, high-rise student housing, hotels, mixed-use developments, and commercial or industrial facilities.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.

Work Environment
This position is based on active construction sites focused on large, complex commercial new-build projects, including data centers, student housing high-rises, hotels, mixed-use urban developments, and commercial or industrial facilities. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work is primarily outdoors or in partially completed structures and is not climate controlled, so you will work in varying weather and temperature conditions. The role is physically demanding and involves standing, walking, lifting, carrying materials, operating or working around equipment such as forklifts, and using hand and basic mechanical tools throughout the day. Appropriate workwear suitable for an active construction site is required, along with adherence to all safety practices and personal protective equipment requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
