Job Description
The Warehouse Associate supports efficient warehouse operations by safely handling inbound and outbound shipments, operating material handling equipment including forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role focuses on loading and unloading trucks, stocking and organizing products, performing cycle counts, and ensuring the warehouse remains safe, orderly, and compliant with operational standards. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30-5:00 p.m., with flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Receive inbound shipments and process outbound orders using material handling equipment, ensuring timely and accurate loading and unloading of trucks.
Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, pick, and place materials into and out of warehouse racks and between designated locations.
Handle inbound freight from parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL, ensuring proper receipt and routing within the warehouse.
Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, perform required inspections, and verify that equipment remains in safe operating condition.
Immediately report all accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor to support a strong safety culture.
Stock and arrange products in warehouse racks to support efficient inventory turns and easy access to materials.
Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and support ongoing inventory accuracy.
Receive material into inventory, update electronic records, and move material by quantity between designated locations as required.
Accurately enter part numbers, quantities, and other required data fields into electronic systems, ensuring that records of receipts, inventories, and locations remain current and correct.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to material quantities, part numbers, or location records in coordination with the appropriate team members.
Locate parts and ensure pallets are stable, correctly stacked, and positioned so that racking, equipment, and materials are not damaged and aisles remain clear.
Consistently practice safe material handling techniques and follow all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris.
Support additional warehouse tasks and related duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required to support business demands in this safety-sensitive role.
Essential Skills
Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment with responsibility for shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a busy warehouse setting.
Strong skills in loading and unloading trucks, including handling palletized and packaged goods.
Experience with picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
Competence in performing inventory-related tasks such as cycle counts and stock checks.
Ability to complete accurate data entry for part numbers, quantities, and location information in electronic inventory systems.
Knowledge of safe material handling techniques and commitment to following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
Capability to organize and stock products in warehouse racks while maintaining clear aisles and stable pallet configurations.
Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet operational requirements.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position, maintaining focus and attention to detail at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience handling inbound freight from parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL.
Familiarity with electronic inventory management systems and basic computer-based data entry.
Strong attention to detail when verifying part numbers, quantities, and locations.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records in a systematic and accurate manner.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in a structured warehouse work schedule.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a warehouse team to achieve operational goals.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
