Responsible for the tactical operations of all Central Area Commissaries. Provides direct supervision, leadership, and guidance to approximately five zone managers responsible for Central United States commissaries. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for Area Director Central your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-15 Directing changes to goals and objectives where appropriate and evaluating the results of organizational accomplishments. Developing, documenting, and operating both internal processes and administrative controls. Planning, developing, and carrying out vital programs. Managing commissary operations across multiple locations and supervising zone managers and store directors. Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA.
