Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Avon, Ohio. This is a Contract to ongoing position with an initial duration of 6-8 months, offering an excellent opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on business needs. The role focuses on managing customer invoicing, cash applications, and collections, with a strong emphasis on supporting the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

Verify shipping documentation and accurately post sales invoices.

Apply cash receipts to outstanding invoices and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger on a daily basis.

Collaborate with account management teams and customers to resolve collection issues and reduce past-due accounts.

Support month-end close activities, including booking general ledger entries and preparing account reconciliations.

Assist in implementing new accounts receivable processes and contribute to process automation improvements.

Lead monthly internal meetings to review AR aging and credit hold statuses with finance and account management teams.

Provide backup support for accounts payable tasks as needed.

Monitor and address cross-functional issues involving shipping, account management, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.

Contribute to the successful execution of AR-related projects within the organization. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections.

Background in manufacturing, with aerospace experience preferred.

Familiarity with high product turnover environments and related challenges.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional issues effectively.

Experience supporting or implementing AR processes within enterprise systems.

Proficiency in financial systems and tools relevant to billing and cash activity.

Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external customers.
