PURPOSE:
Serves as a senior authority over Product Owners and product teams, ensuring strategic alignment and clarity. Leverages extensive expertise to lead and manage complex project requirements, introducing innovative tools and best practices. Oversee the development of products to meet the needs of both internal and external clients, establishing and communicating the business value of their development and implementation. Offers strategic insights and guidance on opportunities and risks, supporting clients with informed decision-making.
The role ensures AI products are strategically aligned, delivered effectively, adopted by users, and produce measurable business outcomes . Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, and enterprise governance functions, this position provides leadership, clarity, and direction across complex AI product portfolios.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
Serve as product leader for one or more AI product portfolios , ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy, business priorities, and customer needs.
Define and articulate product vision, value propositions, and success measures for AI-enabled capabilities.
Partner with senior leaders and Product Managers to translate strategic objectives into prioritized product roadmaps and releases .
Identify opportunities to scale, standardize, or reuse proven AI solutions across the enterprise.
Product Ownership & Backlog Management
Function as the Senior Product Owner for complex AI products, maintaining welldefined, prioritized backlogs aligned to outcomes.
Lead discovery and definition activities, including workshops with users and stakeholders to validate hypotheses and solution approaches.
Ensure user stories, acceptance criteria, and features are clearly defined and tied to measurable business value.
Lead change control and backlog refinement processes to reflect evolving priorities and constraints.
Delivery Execution & Agile Leadership
Collaborate closely with scrum teams, engineers, data scientists, UX, and testing partners throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Participate actively in refinement sessions, sprint planning, reviews, and demos to ensure solutions meet product intent.
Partner with testing and quality teams to ensure solutions are validated against business, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Provide coaching and guidance to Product Owners, delivery teams, and partners on product management and agile best practices.
Adoption, Enablement & Value Realization
Drive adoption of AI products by embedding solutions into workflows and partnering on training, communication, and change efforts.
Establish feedback loops to continuously improve product performance based on usage data and stakeholder input.
Define and track product KPIs, including adoption, efficiency, quality, and value realization metrics.
Communicate product performance, risks, and opportunities to executive and senior stakeholders.
CrossFunctional & Consultative Partnership
Act as a trusted product advisor across business, IT, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and tradeoff discussions.
Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints early and proactively partner to resolve them.
Support informed decisionmaking by providing datadriven insights and product recommendations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Leads a team utilizing a matrix management system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Product Management, Engineering, Information Technology or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Licenses/Certifications Upon Hire Preferred:
Certified Scrum Product Owner.
Experience: 10 years product owner experience with an in-depth knowledge of agile process and principles and/or product manager experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous healthcare experience.
Advanced degree.

Proficient in project planning and life cycle development.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficient in Agile methodologies, principles, and procedures.
Ability to use Product KPIs and business metrics to optimize the product.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
Able to define and articulate how proposed backlog items drive measurable outcomes, improve Star Ratings, or member retention.
Skilled at gathering requirements from key stakeholders to build holistic user stories.
Able to respond quickly to shifting regulatory environments or operational blockers, ensuring the team can deliver.
Able to identify opportunities to enhance plan design or digital member experience based on competitive benchmarking and emerging models.
Skilled at building alignment with stakeholders who have competing priorities.
Skilled in advocating for user needs while balancing enterprise constraints.
Strong ability to maintain trust with business needs, communicate tradeoffs clearly, and manage expectations.
Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range: $125,840 - $224,939
