Job Summary:
Under general direction, this role leads a team of internal communication specialists within a marketing function, advancing strategic communications initiatives and supporting the measurable objectives of internal teams and business groups. The manager of internal communications will be responsible for shaping narratives, leading storytelling, and developing, overseeing, and measuring programs to ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization. The position works directly with internal and/or external stakeholders and C-suite executives in implementing plans designed to drive employee engagement, support business transformation, and identify opportunities to achieve key organizational outcomes.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives aligned with organizational change management best practice and measurable business outcomes.
Collaborate with internal and external teams, vendors, and executive leadership to implement communication strategies driving employee engagement.
Identify and leverage opportunities to achieve key strategic objectives within specific internal and/or business groups.
Apply strong analytical and research abilities to inform data-driven communication strategies.
Oversee collaborative projects from ideation through planning and execution, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management throughout.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive reporting that provides key insights into communications effectiveness and strategic progress.
Analyze and research communication trends to inform strategies and decisions.
Ensure timely and accurate communication delivery, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.
Leverage knowledge of marketing principles and practices as they relate to organizational change and strategic communications.
Maintain excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field with at least 3 years of related marketing experience required OR High School degree or equivalent with 5 years direct experience
Preferred Qualification:
Five or more years of management experience leading communications teams, engaging with senior and executive stakeholders, and driving outcomes
AND/OR
Metrics-driven individual with proven ability to set, monitor and measure internal and external communications effectiveness
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
Solid record creating, leading and delivering impactful internal communications strategies and plans aligned to business objectives
Demonstrated knowledge of internal and change communications best practices
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong research, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Understanding of creative workflow process, including project initiation and kickoff, execution, approvals, production, proofing, tracking and archiving
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe platforms

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
