Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Riviera Beach, Florida. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering a dynamic work environment with a mix of in-office and remote days. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure the accurate and efficient management of accounts receivable functions.

Responsibilities:

Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy through a thorough 3-way matching process.

Accurately process incoming payments via checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers, applying them to appropriate customer accounts.

Reconcile customer accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies between company and customer records.

Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying trends and recommending actionable improvements.

Monitor and manage customer credit, including assisting with credit checks and recommending appropriate credit limits.

Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and other departments to address inquiries and resolve issues.

Maintain organized and accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions.

Utilize customer portals for invoice submissions and ensure proper tracking of all invoices in the designated system.

Post daily cash receipts, ensuring all payments are accounted for and applied correctly.

Support collection efforts to maintain timely cash flow and follow up on outstanding balances. Requirements - At least 3 to 5 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounts receivable experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Business Central, or Epicor is preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in records and reporting.

Familiarity with manufacturing environments and accounts payable/receiving resolution is a plus.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
