Position: Administrative Support Specialist (Temporary Contract for 6-Week LOA Coverage)

Location: Leawood, Kansas, 66211, United States

Tentative Hourly Rate: $21 per hour

Type: 100% ONSITE in Office

Work Environment: Professional Office Setting

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to a department or individual during a temporary leave of absence to ensure continuity of daily office operations. This role supports internal staff through responsive communication, organization, and coordination of routine administrative tasks. May assist with special projects as needed.

This position actively supports the office environment by contributing to efficient workflows, strong communication, and reliable administrative coverage.

Essential Duties

Provides administrative support including typing, filing, scheduling, and general office coordination.

Answers and routes calls through a multi-line telephone system.

Coordinates meetings and conferences, including calendar management and logistics.

Assists with financial record keeping and basic administrative tracking.

Maintains office organization and supports departmental projects as assigned.

Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.

Obtains and maintains office supplies to support uninterrupted operations.

Supports special projects requiring multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail.

Requirements

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school diploma

Technical / Soft Skills Required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities

Attention to detail with strong follow-through

Experience

3-5 years of prior administrative experience

Demonstrated ability to multitask in a professional office environment
