The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking an individual to join our team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an Assistant Group Supervisor for our Community Preparation Services at our St. Peter location. MSOP Community Preparation Services (CPS) St. Peter is a less restrictive, unlocked residential setting on the grounds of the MSOP St. Peter campus located outside of the secure perimeter.

In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of residential units and provide direct supervision to Security Counselors and Security Counselor Leads. This is a unique opportunity to positively impact client rehabilitation while supporting staff development and program excellence

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist Group Supervisors in managing the daily operations of residential units

Promote client participation in treatment and adherence to unit programming

Support and uphold MSOP policies, procedures, and expectations

Coordinate and facilitate key operational functions such as Job Coach activities, searches, and ICS (Incident Command System) drills

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, applicants must:

Highschool Diploma or GED AND

Have one (1) year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment; OR

Have two (2) years lead work or professional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs; OR

Have three (3) years paraprofessional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.

Note: A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or a related field may be substituted for six (6) months of experience OR one (1) year of any supervisory experience may be substituted for a maximum of six (6) months of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with patients/clients with sexual psychopathic personalities, sexually dangerous persons, mentally ill and dangerous or with developmental disabilities.

EDUCATION VERIFICATION - Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their high school diploma at time of interview OR copies of their college transcript or college degree/diploma at time of interview. Copies of the college degree/diploma are acceptable ONLY if it clearly identifies the field in which it was earned.

Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) healthcare facilities require employees to provide documentation that they are free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment. DCT does not accept TB skin testing.
