Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for loading and unloading natural stone slabs onto various vehicles and A-frames using forklifts. You will ensure the accuracy and quality of all incoming and outgoing orders, safely unload overseas containers, and assist sales associates and visiting customers. Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the warehouse and adhering to safety standards are crucial aspects of this role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Training on forklift operation will be provided upon conversion of the contract.

Responsibilities

Load and unload natural stone slabs onto different vehicles and A-frames using forklifts.

Ensure accuracy and quality of incoming and outgoing orders.

Safely unload overseas containers.

Assist sales associates and customers.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.

Follow all safety standards and guidelines.

Perform other assigned duties.

Essential Skills

Shipping and receiving experience.

Material handling expertise.

Proficiency as a forklift operator.

Experience as a warehouse worker.

Forklift certification and license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum height requirement of 5'9" for safety reasons.

Ability to lift 70 lbs and stand for at least 5 hours a day.

Working knowledge of handling granite and marble slabs is a plus.

Strong shipping/receiving and forklift experience, ideally with large items.

High school education or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This position operates within a marble/tile warehouse, where customers shop in the showroom. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM. The role requires adherence to safety standards and involves handling heavy materials.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAN CARLOS, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
