What We're Looking For:
A Product Manager at Zebra Technologies plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's product offerings, ensuring products meet market demands, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role focuses on developing expertise in product lifecycle management, competitive market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to innovation and business growth. This is an opportunity to influence product vision, solve complex problems, and create value for customers worldwide.
The Product Management team also evaluates in-depth market analysis and leads business case development for optimization of existing products and solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products. Collaborates with research and development to create products and validate early product definitions. This role is both strategic and technical in nature and requires meaningful industry experience.
As a Product Manager Principal, you will be responsible for a specific product line contribution to the overall business unit. This includes increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of Zebra's products, competitive landscape, distribution channels, and customer needs.
Advocate for the voice of the customer, integrating their feedback into product development processes.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
Knowledge and understanding of SW applications relevant to the use of the products for the markets and use cases enabled by the products
Owns Product lifecycle management for assigned product lines including tactical execution, managing customer requirements, developing and driving end of life plans and execution of inventory objectives. Advanced market knowledge in assigned product vertical, category, technology or solutions.
Defines and executes demand generation initiatives in and effort to drive realization of produce revenue plans, in collaboration with regional product and marketing.
Owns the value proposition, business case (P&L) and market positioning for assigned products, acting as the primary advocate and strategist.
Tracks and monitors competitive intelligence, preparing and presenting actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
Define and manage product offerings, following the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Partners with Product Marketing and Marketing Communications to develop effective promotional programs and ensure alignment with product positions and launch timelines.
Establishes and manages pricing strategies to optimize revenue, market share, and profitability, while monitoring financial performance and recommending pricing adjustments as needed.
Supports the sales organization by providing competitive analysis, developing presentation materials, and participating in key customer engagements.
Utilizes data analytics and KIPs to evaluate product performance, market acceptance, and customer satisfaction, making adjustments to strategies as needed.
Represents the company at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and seminars to stay informed of market trends and customer expectations.
Builds and nurtures relationships with key customers, channel partners, and stakeholders to promote product adoptions and gather valuable insights.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Master's Degree with BS in Engineering Discipline
12+ years' experience, including at least 3 years overseeing product managers in related discipline or technology industry.
Key Skills and Competencies:
-Experience with AI-driven tools, such as machine learning-based diagnostic systems, virtual assistants, or predictive maintenance solutions, to improve customer support operations.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
-Proven experience in product management with a track record of driving growth and innovation in a technology-driven environment.
-Expertise in product management lifecycle management, including go-to-market strategies, pricing, and product transitions.
-Intermediate to advanced proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
-Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-Strong business acumen and customer orientation, with a proven ability to balance customer needs with business goals.
-Intermediate knowledge of market dynamics and competitive landscapes in relevant categories. Deep understanding of financial concepts including P&L, balance sheets, and ROI models with delivery of product through defined objectives. Multi task and manage complex programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
12+ years of experience including at least 3+ years mentoring product managers or operation managers in related discipline or technology industry.
Strong full lifecycle Product and Project Management experience
Strong industry background/experience in Retail vertical strategy development and retail operations
Retail Software Solution design experience (inventory management)
Strong proficiency in data analysis, market research, and utilizing insights
Retail/frontline operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to interact with customers
Strong communication skills including written, verbal and oral presentation skills as well as abilityto effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, managers,clients and customers.

Pay Range:
$153,880.00 - $230,820.00 Annual
Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 20% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
