Hybrid Entry Level Administrative Assistant

About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and member-focused Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to support our Loan Officers and help members successfully navigate the mortgage loan process. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact, ensuring applications move efficiently from pre-application to closing. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel in communication, and enjoy helping members achieve their homeownership goals, this position is for you.

What You'll Do Member & Loan Officer Support

Act as a key communication link between Loan Officers and members.

Provide timely updates, guidance, and support throughout the entire mortgage application process.

Communicate with members daily-approximately 50% by phone and the remainder through virtual channels.

Loan Application Processing

Collect and review required documents to determine loan approvability.

Analyze income, assets, and supporting financial documentation.

Maintain accuracy when updating information in loan operating systems.

Manage applications from pre-application through post-application stages.

Pipeline & Workflow Management

Oversee a personal pipeline of 45-60 active loan applications, with higher volume during peak seasons.

Work from an assigned queue after Loan Officers complete the initial setup, allowing you to efficiently finalize outstanding requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winchester, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
