Job Description
The Warehouse Worker operates in a clean, air-conditioned warehouse environment, focusing on the disassembly, handling, and processing of computer hardware and related electronic components. This role involves frequent use of hand tools, regular data entry into internal systems and Microsoft Excel, and physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and moving materials throughout an 8-hour shift. The position offers exposure to both general warehousing and IT/datacenter-related work, with cross-training across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
Disassemble computer components, outdated or damaged server racks, memory banks, and other electronics using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and hammers.
Handle, sort, and process incoming and outgoing warehouse materials, ensuring accurate separation of items for resale, destruction, or recycling.
Perform computer and data entry tasks using a proprietary internal system and Microsoft Excel to track inventory and maintain accurate records.
Follow written instructions and standard operating procedures to complete disassembly, sorting, and material handling tasks safely and efficiently.
Use RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to support picking, packing, material handling, and inventory control activities.
Lift and move items up to approximately 40 lbs regularly throughout the day while maintaining proper lifting techniques.
Rotate through various departments within the warehouse as assigned, adapting to slightly different tasks and workflows from day to day.
Unload materials and assist with general warehouse operations, including organizing, staging, and preparing items for processing or shipment.
Work collaboratively as part of a large warehouse team, supporting coworkers and maintaining strong communication to meet daily goals.
Maintain strong attention to detail while sorting materials to ensure proper categorization, accurate inventory, and compliance with data handling procedures.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing required steel toe or composite boots and using tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Stand and remain active on the warehouse floor for the duration of the shift, contributing to a productive and efficient operation.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred, with exposure to inventory, packing, picking, or material handling.
Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience using Microsoft Excel for basic data entry and inventory tracking.
Ability to perform accurate data entry in a proprietary internal system for inventory and warehouse operations.
Proficiency in using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and hammers for disassembling electronic equipment.
Ability to follow written directions and standard operating procedures consistently and accurately.
Capability to stand and remain on your feet for an 8-hour shift in a warehouse environment.
Ability to regularly lift and move items up to approximately 40 lbs throughout the workday.
Strong attention to detail when sorting and handling materials to ensure correct processing and inventory accuracy.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative, warehouse-based setting.
Ownership of and willingness to wear steel toe or composite boots while working on site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a warehouse environment with inventory control, packing, picking, or unloading responsibilities.
Familiarity with RF scanners or similar handheld devices for inventory and material tracking.
Comfort working with computer hardware, servers, racks, and related electronics, even at a basic or entry level.
Interest in gaining exposure to IT/datacenter operations through hands-on work with computer and server equipment.
Willingness to be cross-trained across multiple departments and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
Reliable attendance and punctuality for a Monday-Friday daytime schedule.
Strong communication skills and a cooperative attitude suited to a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

The environment is very clean and air conditioned, supporting comfort during physical work. Team members work in a collaborative, team-oriented setting and rotate through multiple departments, which provides variety in daily tasks. Work involves standing for an 8-hour shift, regularly lifting up to approximately 40 lbs, and using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and hammers, as well as RF scanners and computers with Microsoft Excel. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Steel toe or composite boots are required while working in the warehouse.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
