Job Description:
Manages a team of 15+ associates who are responsible for ensuring non-flood insurance renewals are received and are compliant with requirements of Bank Credit Policy,
including evaluation of insurance accuracy, maintenance of insurance tracking items in multiple systems of record based on requirements, retention in the appropriate repository.
Must be able to identify critical performance metrics and drive process improvement within the business unit.
Responsibilities:
Interfaces with insurance agents, client team partners, credit teams, and clients to ensure world-class documentation accuracy.
Maintains primary responsibility for accuracy of documentation and SOR tracking data, timely delivery of documents, and elimination of controllable re-work.
Ensures procedures are followed and timelines are met.
Develops and implements new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency and to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow.
Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations in the areas more efficient.
Manages team performance including associate development, compensation decisioning, and talent planning.
Leads and directs the work of others and ensures staffing levels and capacity are appropriate to meet production requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Generate Insurance requirement letters and send to client/agent/broker
Receive/Review incoming insurance policies for compliance with bank and federal guidelines.
Contact client/agent/broker to resolve items out of compliance.
Gives technical advice and guidance to business units and interdisciplinary teams on a project.
Maintain systems of record for continued monitoring of insurance.
Work in a paperless environment and adhere to compliance guidelines.
Professional and positive team player, with ability to promote collaboration, and communicate with impact.
Learn and adapt quickly, hold self and others accountable for high performance standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of operations/management experience in hazard insurance or commercial banking industries
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple processes and workflows simultaneously
Ability to lead and motivate a large team of professionals to achieve metric goals and mitigate risk
Ability to lead through process, technology, regulatory, policy, and procedural change and review
5+ years experience with Commercial Banking or Hazard/Property Insurance
Identifies, develops, and grows talent
Delivers for clients and business partners
