Job Summary and Qualifications
Individual will provide administrative support for the Radiation Oncology administrative director, director, assistant director, managers, and staff. Individual demonstrates solid to expert multi-tasking skills prioritizing independently to enhance and maximize operational flow. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal contributions. The individual must have solid knowledge of computer systems used for maintaining information and data base management for compliance requirements. The individual must have expert knowledge of hospital, departmental, admissions, KRONOS, and pre-authorization processes and completes follow throug has needed. Demonstrates responsibility for effectively initiating and scheduling patients and is sought out by others for advice, training, and clarification. Assist in the creation and maintenance of all departmental policy and procedures, departmental forms, culture of excellence, protective equipment inventory annual inspection, and department education compliance files. Accepts other projects as requested.
Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, physicians and other hospital personnel supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Swedish Medical Center. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal contributions. Effectively mentors and molds other staff members to meet the requirements.
Qualifications for this role:
High School Diploma/GED required. College, Business College or secretarial course work preferred
Computer literacy required.
Medical/Radiology terminology preferred.
Solid communication skills required.
Three years previous secretarial, medical scheduling experience and /or supervision experience preferred.
