Entry-Level Data Center Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking multiple technicians to support infrastructure build-out inside a large new data center project in Fayetteville, GA. These roles focus on hands-on, construction-based cabling work and are ideal for entry-level technicians who are eager to learn, work with their hands, and grow within the data center and telecommunications field.

Technicians will assist with installing and supporting low-voltage and fiber cabling systems throughout the facility, working alongside experienced leads in an active construction environment. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale data center builds with consistent work and guaranteed hours.

What You'll Do:

Pull, route, and support fiber and low-voltage cabling.

Install and support cable using J-hooks, ladder racks, trays, and rings.

Assist with fiber terminations and basic splicing.

Follow color codes, labeling, and cable management standards.

Build and support telecom closets (racks, patch panels, backboards).

Install basic low-voltage devices.

Perform fire-stopping and sleeve installations as required.

Complete daily paperwork (timesheets, work orders, material tracking).

Follow all safety and quality standards.

Use basic hand tools provided by the technician.

Schedule:

40-hour minimum guaranteed.

Overtime available.

Requirements:

General knowledge in cabling, telecom, or low-voltage work.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in construction environments.

Comfortable with ladders, lifts, walking long distances, and hauling materials.

Willingness to learn and be trained on-site.

Ability to use basic hand tools.

Strong work ethic and reliability.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience pulling and/or terminating fiber optic cable.

Cat5 / Cat6 cabling.

Punch-downs or crimping.

Rack and stack or rack assembly.

Cable testing CCTV or security systems.

Troubleshooting experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fayetteville, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
