Robert Half Contracts Finance and Accounting Division is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a great company in the Rancho Cordova area! This Staff Accountant would play an essential role in the company dynamics. The Staff Accountant would need to have 3-5 years of accounting experience and be able to work on site.

Month-End Close: Execute month-end closing procedures, including preparing and posting journal entries, reviewing account reconciliations, and ensuring timely completion of all related tasks.

Reconciliation: Perform detailed account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues to maintain accurate financial statements.

QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.

Weekly Check Run: Prepare and process weekly check runs to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and other payees.

Semi-Monthly Payroll: Assist in the preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll, including verification of hours, deductions, and benefits.

Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks, month-end close, and reconciliation.

Education: Some college coursework in accounting or finance, and/or professional training in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, G-Suite, Microsoft Excel; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in financial reporting and reconciliation tasks.

Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and other departments.

Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
