Position Summary:
The Medical Staff Specialist deals discreetly with large amounts of sensitive, confidential information concerning professional and personal performances of provider and senior level staff and confidential information concerning health center affairs, information contained in letters, employee files, and other documents. Maintains confidentiality of all provider information and other health center related information. Will work directly with all levels of NeighborHealth providers and senior level staff.What You'll Do
Staff Development - Manages this benefit for providers by tracking and processing reimbursement based on policy guidelines. Manages the reimbursement for all benefit eligible providers working closely with Payroll. Also monitors the use of CME hour request and submitted into Workday. Maintains electronic files for providers of all CME credits received.
OPPE/FPPEs - responsible for managing the Chart Reviews and OPPEs or FPPEs for providers in compliance with BMC requirements. Requires coordination with Neighborhealth Medical and Associate Medical Directors as well as BMC Department Chiefs and BMC Medical Staff Affairs. This is a Joint Commission requirement for all credentialed providers.
Compliance and Tracking of Licensure and Certifications - responsible for the management of all provider license and certification to ensure that all provider licensure and certifications are current. Must update 2 systems with this data (Workday and MSOW). Create purple folder in K drive to track current license and certifications.
Provider Life Support Training - Works closely with ETI to coordinate provider BLS training as well as Emergency Department ACLS and PALS training. This includes reaching out to providers to attend training classes.
Responsible for the annual Physician Assistant prescription guidelines and monitoring of the Nurse Practitioner prescriptive practice guidelines as they reach the 2-year anniversary of prescribing.
Communication - Possesses good verbal, documentation, communication and technical skills and the ability to set priorities and organize own workload. Supports clerical needs within the department. May need to support the Medical Standards Meeting.
Workday - develop and generate reports as required in Workday; including monthly reports for MSO statistics for reporting to various departments and external organizations.
Board Certification - monitor and track as required by each board.

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
One to three years' experience in a Medical Staff Office, Human Resource Department, or Medical Administrative Office.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, and Workday experience a plus.
Requires effective communication with providers, along with the confidence to be assertive while maintaining an approachable and collaborative demeanor.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office and clinic environment
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-based tasks
Occasionally required to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds (such as files, office supplies, or small equipment)
Must have adequate visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform essential job functions
May occasionally move between clinic and administrative areas and be exposed to a typical clinical setting .
Salary
Starting at $70,720, and up to $110,240 based on years of relevant experience
