Description
seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Support Specialist to support our customer in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will support procurement, inventory and logistics management for electronic components, RF equipment, communications technology and other materials needed for operational success. This individual works closely with leadership and other team members to ensure the mission continues on schedule to meet customer demands and requirements, ensuring all parties have the right materials when needed to carry out critical-mission success. You will have the opportunity to work onsite alongside other professionals at various customer locations, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, exciting and challenging environment. Responsibilities: You will have the opportunity to work with different organizations, vendors, military and government personnel to support mission success across many fields of focus, to include the following: - Logistics & Material Support o Prepare, distribute and track materials and equipment going to field teams and customers. o Coordinate shipping, receiving and transportation of materials to customer and project sites. o Assist in planning for upcoming projects and needs to ensure materials are readily available. - Inventory Management o Maintain, organize and keep accurate records of inventory for customer equipment, electronic components, RF equipment, hardware and system parts. o Track stock levels and proactively order items as needed to prevent shortages. o Ensure proper storage, labeling and handling of all inventory items to support team members for more effective and efficient operations. - Procurement & Vendor Management o Source and purchase materials such as components, tools and various equipment from approved vendors to meet operational needs. o Coordinate with various suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply chain issues. o Maintain accurate documentation to include packing slips, receipts and government documents. - Documentation & Reporting o Maintain accurate records for all work supported within supply chain, inventory and operations support, to include assisting technicians and engineers when needed. o Generate and share reports with team members on stock levels, usage, shortages, etc. o Ensure that operational support is meeting compliance and government policies & standards. - Team Collaboration o Work closely with technicians and engineers to understand technical needs and performance of components and equipment. o Communicate effectively with leadership, sponsors, vendors and suppliers to relay procurement updates, delays, logistical challenges and critical issues. o Support a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet and resolve unexpected challenges. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field or equivalent military experience. - 5+ years of proven experience supporting business processes and program success within inventory management, procurement or logistics (preferably in a technical environment). - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Proficient with data analysis, spreadsheets and presenting information to customers. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively with customers and peers. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-stress, high-speed environment. - Must have a "go-getter" mentality and willingness to adapt and learn new skills to wear many hats when needed (i.e. supporting technicians and engineers at customer sites). - Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance. - Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00/hr.
