The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Assistant to join our team at Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School. The Behavior Assistant will work under the supervision of the building administrator and other educational professionals to support students with behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.\ Key Responsibilities:\ Provide support to students with behavioral challenges.\ Implement behavior intervention plans as developed by the educational professionals.\ Assist in the development of social skills, coping strategies, and other essential skills for students.\ Monitor and document student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the educational professionals.\ Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.\ Participate in training and professional development sessions as required.\ Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior when appropriate.\ The pay range \$25.49 - \$30.59 is in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for Educational Support Personnel and may be reviewed on our website.\ \ This position follows the school calendar.\ \ We offer a comprehensive benefits package to our employees, including health, dental, and life & long term disability insurance; retirement savings plans; paid time off; and professional development opportunities. Job Requirements

Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Education, Psychology, or a

related field.\ Previous experience working with students.\ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.\ Ability to remain patient, calm, and compassionate in challenging situations.\ Understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.\ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

At least1year(s) of relevant experience preferred.

Associatedegree preferred.

Citizenship, residency or work visa required
