Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Accounting department by processing accounts payable transactions, general ledger entries, and related financial record-keeping. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial data across multiple entities - ensuring vendors are paid on time, records are audit-ready, and the accounting team has the support it needs to close the books each month. This position works under the direction of the Accounts Payable & Procurement Manager and is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and looking to grow their accounting career in a mission-driven healthcare education environment.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable: Collect, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.

Support biweekly check runs including gathering signatures and mailing payments.

Maintain accurate and complete vendor records.

General Ledger & Reconciliation: Enter journal entries across multiple entities.

Assist the accounting team with monthly bank reconciliations.

Tax Filing Support: Assist with annual preparation of IRS Forms 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1098-T.

General: Handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Support the team with other duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related finance role preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field - or equivalent combination of education and experience.

High attention to detail and a process-oriented approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a team environment.
