Job Description

We are seeking an Administrative Accounting Coordinator to support daily office and accounting operations within a stable, long-standing organization. This role is ideal for an administrative professional who is interested in developing a career path in accounting or finance while gaining hands-on experience in core financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Invoice all orders from the previous business day

Assist with bank deposits and payment tracking

Answer approximately 10-15 incoming calls on busy days and route inquiries as needed

Support customers with billing questions and account inquiries

Maintain accurate financial and administrative records

Provide general administrative and front-desk support

Required Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Clear written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)

Exposure to accounting systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP platforms)

Experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable is a plus

Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong interest in accounting

Work Environment

This position is seated at the front desk, working alongside a part-time colleague who is onsite two days per week. Training is provided directly by management, offering a supportive environment for skill development and professional growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
