Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Gardena, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing vendor accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring efficient financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounts payable and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee more than 200 active vendor accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions.

Facilitate vendor onboarding by verifying and completing vendor profiles.

Maintain and update vendor master records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Review and process invoice requests, ensuring proper account coding and classification.

Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, resolving credit hold issues and other account discrepancies.

Reconcile vendor aging statements on a regular basis to keep accounts in good standing.

Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with onboarding and training new team members.

Generate and analyze month-end accounts payable reports to support financial close processes.

Serve as a backup to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and provide leadership in cross-training efforts.

Handle ad-hoc projects and assist in month-end and year-end financial close activities. Requirements - Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or at least five years of experience in accounts payable.

Proficiency in managing accounts payable systems, including experience with OnBase and ERP systems.

Strong knowledge of processing 1099 forms and related tax documentation.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Experience with multi-system work processing and management.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex financial or vendor-related issues efficiently.

Flexibility to accommodate varied work hours to support vendors and stakeholders in multiple locations.
