Bank of America's Global Commercial Bank ("GCB") is seeking a high-performing Relationship Manager ("RM") to support Bank of America Business Capital ("BABC"), the market-leading provider of Asset-Based Lending ("ABL") solutions as well as the Middle Market Financial Sponsor Group (MMFSG).
MMFSG delivers comprehensive banking solutions to middle-market private equity firms and their portfolio companies. This is a unique, highly visible role that sits at the intersection of ABL and sponsor coverage.
The Relationship Manager will partner closely with Senior Business Development Officers ("BDOs") and MMFSG coverage bankers to originate and deliver innovative banking solutions for large corporate, middle-market, and lower middle-market clients. These solutions support a wide range of strategic objectives, including organic growth, M&A, recapitalizations, and re-financings.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, sound credit judgment, and the ability to collaborate across product and coverage teams to drive new business development and deepen client relationships.
This job is responsible for providing advice and valuable financial solutions to Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact or trusted advisor and acquiring, deepening, and maintaining profitable relationships, collaborating with teammates, and facilitating client relationships with Product Specialists. Job expectations include having knowledge of the bank's products and services in order to identify cross-selling opportunities and increase overall client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Provide analytical support, financial modeling, and strategic insight to senior bankers on prospective and existing clients
Partner with BDOs and MMFSG bankers to identify new opportunities and drive new-logo growth
Develop creative, client-specific financing solutions across ABL and sponsor-backed transactions
Coordinate with internal product partners to deliver integrated, full-service banking solutions
Support client coverage efforts by helping maximize revenue and strengthen long-term relationships
Participate in client and prospect meetings, including in-person travel when required
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of commercial banking experience, with a strong preference for ABL and/or private equity related experience
Excellent oral, written, analytical, and credit skills
Solid understanding of sales organizations and commercial banking processes
Proven ability to coordinate across multiple partners and functions
Demonstrated ability to influence and provide thought leadership across teams and business lines
Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings
FINRA Series 7, 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain within 180 days of start date)
