Robert Half is partnering with a successful aerospace and defense manufacturer seeking a high potential Accounting Manager to join their growing division. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position is part of long-term succession planning and offers outstanding career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close processes and prepare financial reporting packages

Conduct variance analysis, budget-to-actual reviews, and support internal management reporting

Partner with manufacturing and operations on inventory, WIP valuation, and job costing

Support audit preparation, SOX compliance, and internal control initiatives

Drive process-improvement projects within the accounting function0

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

7+ Years of full range accounting experience, centered in the manufacturing industry

Strong knowledge of full close and reporting cycles

Experience with large ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, or similar)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently without direct reports

U.S. citizenship and ability to pass standard background and screening requirements

Preferred Experience

Aerospace & Defense Industry, Public company reporting, SOX compliance, cost accounting, and financial analysis
