Chief Accountant

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for the oversight of select accounting processes at the hotel. Systems administration; Bank and G/L account reconciliations; inventories; credit card reconciliation; assist with monthly finance closings, running/evaluating finance/accounting reports including labor; time and attendance reports.

A significant part of the Chief Accountant role will consist of Productivity Program Leader & Champion :

§ Conduct weekly productivity meetings

§ Work with operating departments to ensure managers are staying within their labor thresholds

§ Reconcile outside labor hours weekly and record in the Time & Attendance System (Dimensions)

§ Maintain reports and feed into labor dashboard

Qualifications:

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

Refined verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and financial accounting system use (Oracle Preferred)

Comfortable using Oracle, Birchstreet Purchasing, and Opera or similar systems

Minimum 2 years accounting management experience

Productivity processes analytical skills preferred

Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
