Summary You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DIVISION of BLOUNT ISLAND COMMAND. Responsibilities You will administer assigned program responsibilities in the areas of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosives (CBRNE) and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Protection. You will serve as the Commanding Officer's direct representative to other installations and DoD agencies regarding CBRNE protection and weapons of mass destruction (WMD) emergency response. You will conduct field and staff training. You will develop and implement an installation preparedness capability to meet present and future CBRNE protective requirements. You will determine, formulate, coordinate, and implement specific installation guidance and actions to correct CBRNE protection program deficiencies. You will ensure integration and operability of installation response plans with local, state and federal plans affecting CBRNE incident response. You will prepare funding justification and validations and recommends funding obligations to the supervisor. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in Installation Emergency Manager (IEM) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosives (CBRNE) and Destructive Weather program concepts, principals, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices. Ability to resolve conflicting and complex policy and program objectives and procedures; knowledge of information and security policy requirements and procedures to provide recommendations.
