Medical Assistant | DeBary, FL

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The role involves providing essential support in patient care, managing follow-ups, data entry, and ensuring the efficient operation of clinic services.

Responsibilities

Perform follow-ups with patients and update their records through data entry.

Answer inbound phone calls and handle patient inquiries professionally.

Order laboratory tests and relay lab results to patients and healthcare providers.

Schedule follow-up appointments and manage appointment scheduling efficiently.

Provide clinical support and assist with patient care as needed.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical Assisting.

Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred.

High School Diploma required.

Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Athena.

Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with electronic medical records and patient care.

Ability to deliver excellent customer service and manage front desk operations.

BLS certification and knowledge of insurance processes are beneficial.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at a clinic, operating Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Employees enjoy a supportive work culture with medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a 401K plan. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DeBary, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
